Chad Donahue - Coach u9
Chad Donahue is excited to begin his first season leading one of our new teams for the Wisconsin Shooters Program, the 9u/3rd grade team. Coach Donahue brings 13 years of experience as a Coach and Teacher. He graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a major in Physical Education and 2 minors in Health Education and Coaching. He has also earned graduate level credits in the field of coaching from Loyola Marymount and Drake University. Chad attended Cudahy High School where he competed on the Varsity Basketball, Baseball and Soccer teams. He is currently in his 7th year as a Physical Education/Health Teacher in the Cudahy School District. He previously taught at St. John Kanty and St. Helen's/Holy Wisdom Academy in Milwaukee.
As a basketball coach, Donahue has served in a variety of roles during his 13 years including volunteering as a 3rd/4th grade Rec. League coach all the way up to spending three years as the Head Varsity Coach at Cudahy High School. During Chad's three years as a Head Varsity Coach he started the boys' basketball booster club and spent countless hours working to improve the youth program and the year long commitment throughout the entire program. Most recently, Coach D just completed his first season as the Head JV Coach at South Milwaukee High School with a 14-7 record.
Over the years Donahue has also coached at numerous well known camps including: Brandon Jennings Basketball Camp, Dwyane Wade Skills Academy, Jerry Petitgoue's Tristate Trifecta and Team Camps, Milwaukee Bucks Camps, Marquette University Basketball Camp, Buzz's Bunch Camp for individuals with Special Needs, various Cudahy Rec. Dept. Camps, First Choice Basketball Camps, Wissports.net Boys' and Girls' Showcases and Kenny Smith's Basketball Camp at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
In addition to coaching basketball, Chad spent seven years coaching baseball in the successful Cudahy High School Program and two years helping with his son's little league team.
Chad currently resides in Milwaukee with his wife and son, Mari and James.
